Of Course! It makes sense.

From the editor of Vanity Fair on why Bush always sounds like he's talking to five year-olds:

"He speaks to the audience as if they're idiots. I think the reason he does that is because that's the way these issues were explained to him." - Graydon Carter

Someone else describe his style as a grade school kid reading his book report to the class.

Interestingly enough, Al Gore was often accused of speaking to audiences as though they were 3rd graders.

The common thread here is: Most politicians speak this way because they believe the average American too simple-minded to understand just what it takes to run this nation's affairs. Which, saddly, is true.

Why are you removing comments communist???
I actually think Bush has a phobia about speaking to the public...there is no doubt he sounds like an idiot and it hurts him get his ideas across...and yes, he has ideas

I assume you are joking with the communist comment.

I believe I'm allowed to delete spam (or anything else if I wanted), but in these cases it is spam.

I don't think Bush has a phobia, he's just lousy at it. I'm amused that you are at the point that you can say Bush "sounds like an idiot." Another thing we've grown closer to agreement on.

Ever stop to think maybe he talks that way because that's how you have to talk to Liberals??? I'm sorry but it's the same as talking to men when you need something done...you have to talk down to their level so they'll understand and most of the time that doesn't even work!

I will agree this isn't the case for every Liberal, but definately the majority.

When Regan was in office Liberals complained how he was all show. Bush is in office and now Liberals can only talk about this public speaking. Thank God America was not this shallow in 2000 and 2004

If this is the case maybe the only way to get through to wingnuts(not conservatives...wway wingnuts) is to holler and spew hate..seems to be the way all the right talk show hosts talk to their audience.

And then it occurred to me, when has George W. Bush ever spoken to a liberal?
